-- Hendricks County residency guidelines for Lacrosse teams - there are two youth lacrosse programs serving Hendricks County, please follow the guidelines below to determine which lacrosse program you should play for.  All youth teams are based on the school district you reside in. For youth teams, you do not need to attend the public schools within that district, that is just the boundaries that are used.

Elementary and Middle School students

BOYS & GIRLS
Students LIVING in Brownsburg, Danville or Tri-West school districts, regardless of school they attend, MUST play for Brownsburg Lacrosse
Students LIVING in Avon, Plainfield or Cascade school districts, regardless of school they attend, MUST play for Avon Lacrosse

Anyone who registers for one of our teams in error, will receive a refund minus credit card processing fees.  If you have any questions about your eligibility, please contact us at [email protected]com prior to registration.

-- YOUTH LACROSSE AGE-SEGMENTATION GUIDELINES

Indiana Youth Lacrosse Association follows segmentation guidelines for Boys and Girls Youth lacrosse from US Lacrosse. These guidelines were implemented with player safety as the most important consideration.  With these guidelines, there will be a strict adherence to the birth date boundaries and “playing up” will not be allowed.  ALL players will play for their appropriate team regardless of their school grade.

U10 (closely matching 3rd/4th grade) – those players born between 8/31/2011 and 9/1/2009

U12 (closely matching 5th/6th grade) – those players born between 8/31/2009 and 9/1/2007

U14 (closely matching 7th/8th grade) – those players born between 8/31/2007 and 9/1/2005
-- Any 8th grade student born prior to 9/1/2005 will be granted a waiver to play for the 14U team since they are not eligible to play for any high school teams in this state.  When you register, you may see High School programs available, register for appropriate U14 team.

Please contact us with any questions you may have.

-- Uniforms

ALL BRAND NEW players will receive a new uniform for the 2020 season.  Please provide size information during the registration process.  Normal shirt and short sizes will be fine for lacrosse uniform sizing.  We will have sizing sessions in February to confirm sizes entered during registration.

ALL RETURNING PLAYERS WILL RE-USE THEIR UNIFORMS FROM LAST YEAR.  If you have lost a piece or there has significant growth since last season, please reach out and we will discuss options.

We use these uniforms on a two-year cycle and this is Year 2 of that cycle.

-- Equipment Rental Program for Boys Youth (3rd-8th grade students)

If you would like to rent equipment (helmet & pads available - players must have own stick) please designate that during registration and you will be contacted with further details.

-- Family Discounts

Multiple registrants from the same family will receive a $20 discount off of the standard registration fee for all registrants for the first full-price registered player and $25 for additional players. This applies across all teams in the organization.

-- Registration Late Fee

Fee is $50. Starts on Feb. 18, 2020.  Cancellation policy notification is included in registration process.

-- Fundraising

In an effort to keep the registration fees for Brownsburg Lacrosse from increasing every year, we have a mandatory fundraising amount for every participant. We feel that every player should be contributing, and as such, we require a $50 fundraising amount - or we have a buyout option. Each player will be required to generate $50 in profit during the fundraiser or the parent can pay the $50 up front instead releasing teh player from having to participate in any fundraising activities.

There will be prizes for the highest sellers in the organization.  Prior year prizes were gift cards from Empire Lacrosse, Dick's and Bluetooth portable speakers. So, there is incentive to sell more than your requirement.

-- Standard Registration Fees for 2020

-- Boys/Girls U10 $145
-- Boys/Girls U12 $165
-- Boys/Girls U14 $165

-- REGISTRATION PROCESS

You will see two registration options for your child when you login

“[TEAM NAME] - Reg. Fee + Fundraiser Buyout NOW”

This option will allow you to pay the standard registration fee + the $50 fundraising requirement upon completion of registration and your child will not need to participate in any fundraising activities.

“[TEAM NAME] - Reg. Fee NOW - Doing Fundraiser"

This option, for those who wish to reduce the amount they pay via participation in the fundraiser, will have a payment plan available that will charge only the team-specific standard fee upon completion of registration.  The payment plan, called "[TEAM NAME} - YOU MUST SELECT THIS PLAN", must be selected and it will then schedule a $50 payment on your credit card for June 30th, 2020.  This is NOT a credit hold, there will be NO charges against your card for the $50 until June 30th.  It is merely a plan to collect that money.

At the completion of the season, we will review the fundraising totals and every player who has achieved their required fundraising amount will have that payment cancelled - a system-generated email confirmation will be sent.  If a partial sum is owed, the amount will be adjusted and the payment will process on June 30.  We will do our best to fully account for these charges, but any that slip through the cracks and result in any fees from your bank will be reimbursed fully by Brownsburg Lacrosse.

CRITICAL INFO for this option - You MUST select the Payment Plan option - if you click the PAY IN FULL option, you will be charged the registration fee + the $50 - essentially doing the buyout plan.  A refund can be processed, but it will be less any credit card fees we incur.

-- Season Kick-Off Meeting

An organization-wide season kickoff meeting/"meet the coach" event will be held on Wednesday, February 18th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Hendricks County 4H Fairgrounds in Danville.  Attendance is expected as many important details will be presented.

-- Season Start

Practice will officially begin on Monday, February 17th - INDOORS - at the SportZone (6601 Coffman Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46268).  We have the facility from 6-9 pm - team specific times will be announced at a later date.  As soon as we are able to move outside (weather allowing), we will do so - team specific dates/times announced at a later date.  But, we have the indoor facility as our backup/guaranteed spot on Mondays from Feb 17th thru Mar 9th.

-- COACHING HELP

Brownsburg Lacrosse is ALWAYS in need of new youth lacrosse coaches.  US Lacrosse provides a training program including online lessons as well as classroom/on-field training to teach new coaches the basic fundamentals of lacrosse and how to teach those fundamentals to new or nearly new players.  This training certification program can be started at any time with the online component and the on-field training class will be offered in the Indianapolis area in late February.

Brownsburg Lacrosse reimburses the cost of the US Lacrosse adult membership ($55). Background checks are included in membership. US Lacrosse provided training classes are also reimbursed for ALL of our volunteer coaches at the completion of the season.

Nearly every youth program in this area fields teams with a coaching staff of parents - most of whom have never played lacrosse.  Lacrosse programs cannot survive without parent volunteer coaches... and previous lacrosse experience is NOT required.  We are especially in need of 3rd or 4th grade parents for our Boys 10U teams who can learn the game this year as an assistant coach, and would be interested in leading the team in 2020.
