-- Hendricks County residency guidelines for Lacrosse teams - there are two youth lacrosse programs serving Hendricks County, please follow the guidelines below to determine which lacrosse program you should play for.  All youth teams are based on the school district you reside in. For youth teams, you do not need to attend the public schools within that district, that is just the boundaries that are used.

Elementary and Middle School students

BOYS & GIRLS
Students LIVING in Brownsburg, Danville or Tri-West school districts, regardless of school they attend, MUST play for Brownsburg Lacrosse
Students LIVING in Avon, Plainfield or Cascade school districts, regardless of school they attend, MUST play for Avon Lacrosse

Anyone who registers for one of our teams in error, will receive a refund minus credit card processing fees.  If you have any questions about your eligibility, please contact us at [email protected] prior to registration.

-- YOUTH LACROSSE AGE-SEGMENTATION GUIDELINES

Indiana Youth Lacrosse Association follows segmentation guidelines for Boys and Girls Youth lacrosse from US Lacrosse. These guidelines were implemented with player safety as the most important consideration.  With these guidelines, there will be a strict adherence to the birth date boundaries and “playing up” will not be allowed.  ALL players will play for their appropriate team regardless of their school grade.

10U (closely matching 3rd/4th grade and 9-10 years old) – Players 9 years old or younger on August 31st of the year prior to spring lacrosse season. Players younger than 8 are not permitted to play at the 10U level during the spring season.

12U (closely matching 5th/6th grade and 11-12 years old) – Players 11 years old or younger on August 31st of the year prior to spring lacrosse season. Players younger than 10 are not permitted to play at the 12U level during the spring season.

14U (closely matching 7th/8th grade and 13-14 years old) – Players 13 years old or younger on August 31st of the year prior to spring lacrosse season. Players younger than 11 are not permitted to play at the 14U level during the spring season.  8th grade students will play for 14U as they are not eligible to play for the high school teams in this state. Please be sure your 8th grader is registered for 14U even if you see high school programs available during registration.

Please contact us with any questions you may have.

-- Uniforms

Uniforms will be distributed at the beginning of each Lacrosse season.   Please provide size information during the registration process.  Uniforms follow typical youth and men's shirt and short sizes.  We will have sizing sessions in February to confirm sizes entered during registration.

-- Equipment Rental Program for Youth (3rd-8th grade students)

BOYS - If you would like to rent equipment (helmet & pads available - players must have own stick) please designate that during registration and you will be contacted with further details.

GIRLS - We have limited equipment available for girls - they only need goggles, no other pads - please contact us if needed.

-- Family Discounts

Multiple registrants from the same family will receive a discount off of the standard registration fee for all registrants after the first full-price registered player. This applies across all teams in the organization, i.e. if you have a HS player and a youth player, you still receive the discount.

-- Registration Late Fee

Late registrants will be charged a late fee. Cancellation policy notification is included in registration process.

-- Fundraising

In an effort to keep the registration fees for Brownsburg Lacrosse from increasing every year, we have a mandatory fundraising amount for every participant. There is a buyout option at the time of registration releasing the player from having to participate in any fundraising activities if you choose.

--- REGISTRATION PROCESS

You will see two registration options for your child when you login

“[TEAM NAME] - Reg. Fee + Fundraiser Buyout NOW”

This option will allow you to pay the standard registration fee + the fundraising requirement upon completion of registration and your child will not need to participate in any fundraising activities.

“[TEAM NAME] - Reg. Fee NOW - Doing Fundraiser"

This option, for those who wish to reduce the amount they pay via participation in the fundraiser, will have a payment plan available that will charge only the team-specific standard fee upon completion of registration. This year's fundraiser is through Crew Carwash. The payment plan, called "[TEAM NAME} - YOU MUST SELECT THIS PLAN", must be selected and it will then schedule the final payment on June 30th.  This is NOT a credit hold, there will be NO charges against your card until June 30th.

At the completion of the season, we will review the fundraising totals and every player who has achieved their required fundraising amount will have that payment cancelled - a system-generated email confirmation will be sent.  If a partial sum is owed, the amount will be adjusted and the payment will process on June 30.

CRITICAL INFO for this option - You MUST select the Payment Plan option - if you click the PAY IN FULL option, you will be charged the registration fee + the $50 - essentially doing the buyout plan.  A refund can be processed, but it will be less any credit card fees we incur.

-- Season Kick-Off Meeting

We will hold a kickoff meeting in February. Attendance is expected as many important details will be presented.

-- Season Start

Practice will officially begin as soon as weather allows in late February/early March. We will share practice dates and times for each team during the kickoff meeting.  Youth teams will practice 2 weekday evenings and Saturday morning/early afternoon.

-- COACHING HELP

Brownsburg Lacrosse is ALWAYS in need of new youth lacrosse coaches.  US Lacrosse provides a training program including online lessons as well as classroom/on-field training to teach new coaches the basic fundamentals of lacrosse and how to teach those fundamentals to new or nearly new players.  This training certification program can be started at any time with the online component and the on-field training class will be offered in the Indianapolis area in late February.

Brownsburg Lacrosse reimburses the cost of the US Lacrosse adult membership. Background checks are included in membership. US Lacrosse provided training classes are also reimbursed for ALL of our volunteer coaches at the completion of the season.

Nearly every youth program in this area fields teams with a coaching staff of parents - most of whom have never played lacrosse.  Lacrosse programs cannot survive without parent volunteer coaches... and previous lacrosse experience is NOT required.
