New Orleans Bowl

As a unique experience, 6 members of the HFC Thunder 05 team participated in the R & L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, a 3v3 soccer tournament that serves as a qualifier for a national tournament in Orlando, FL. After 2 easy games (19-1, 13-0), the boys met a strong challenger in the championship game. After a well-fought contest, Thunder 05 came out on top 6-5 and won free tickets to the New Orleans Bowl football game held at the Superdome later that month. They enjoyed celebrating there, but there is more work to do . . . they have now qualified for the national 3v3 championship to be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports facility in the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida to be held on August 1-4, 2013.
