Brownsburg Lacrosse is a newly formed organization based in Brownsburg, IN, that serves Avon, Plainfield, Danville, Pittsboro, Lizton and surrounding Hendricks County communities.

We currently field teams at three youth levels, 3rd/4th Grade, 5th/6th Grade and 7th/8th Grade, as well as a high school level team based out of Brownsburg HS.

The Youth teams will compete in the Indiana Youth Lacrosse Association playing mostly against teams in the Indianapolis area.  Each season IYLA also requires teams at 5/6 and 7/8 levels to have two play days at locations outside of Indianapolis to support lacrosse growth in those areas as well.

The High School team will eventually affiliate with the Indiana High School Lacrosse Association, but are not doing so this year.  This enable us to accept players from other communities with out affecting their future eligibility with our, or other, programs.

All participants in the IYLA, IHSLA and Brownsburg Lacrosse will be required to be members of US Lacrosse, the National Governing Body of Lacrosse.  Current membership status will be checked before each season and memberships that expire during the season will need to be renewed.

Brownsburg Youth Lacrosse (BYL) is extremely proud to announce their partnership with the Hendricks County Community Foundation (HCCF), through the new Brownsburg Lacrosse Organization Fund.

By becoming a fund of the HCCF, BYL will be under their nonprofit 501(c)(3) status and will be able to take advantage of the benefits that come with it -- most importantly the ability to provide a tax deduction to all individuals and businesses who donate to or sponsor our organization through HCCF.

The HCCF will provide guidance to BYL as we grow, so that at some point we can apply for nonprofit status of our own.  And we at Brownsburg Youth Lacrosse will provide a beneficial youth activity to the community which the HCCF serves.

As part of the mission of BYL, all participants will be required to perform at least one act of community service per season.  This requirement was part of the plan for BYL before this partnership was developed and now the possibilities for that have greatly expanded through the organizations under the HCCF umbrella.

The HCCF works to improve the quality of life in Hendricks County by helping donors match their passion with community needs, awarding grants to nonprofit organizations and projects, and collaborating to address community issues.  The HCCF manages an $8.5 million collection of funds that were created by individuals, families, businesses and organizations for charitable purposes.  In 2012, the HCCF gave over $640,000 in grants to charitable organizations and scholarships to local students.
